Ooooo, oh, cringe... I hate this part. I hate trying to sum up myself, my life, and how I am part of the profound and beautiful world in which we live, in a few paragraphs. And I would also hate to go on and on about myself in a 150-page biography, so that's definitely not going to happen either. But, when I read someone's blog, I like to know who they are a little bit... Get a sense of what they're like and where they're coming from, so it's only fair that I return the favor.
I grew up on a (you guessed it!) farm in the midwest. So did my husband. I spent my formative years riding a lot of horses, bottle-feeding a few lambs and throwing one or two dried up pieces of horse poop at my friends. Oh, and I also had to ride a goat named Clarence from time to time.
Nothing makes me feel more alive than the smell of mud and horses on a damp spring day.
We've lived in Colorado for a little over six years now, where we managed to have a few good times, meet some wonderful friends, and make a couple babies. Soon, very soon, we'll be heading back to the midwest to live on my husband's family farm.
This site is dedicated to all things re: farm life, and taking you, my readers and friends, along for the tractor ride, figuratively speaking. It's also about family life, our journey and some funny stories we've accumulated along the way, home cooking, and most importantly, having faith. Hope you enjoy the ride.
