Yes Woman

Miss Peaches has been saying yeah and yes in the last couple of weeks. And she doesn't just say it randomly either... She says it when she means it. (She also says no when she means it.)

It's wonderful to be able to communicate with her, and for her to be able to convey her thoughts. (Usually.) It reminds me of this Bible verse...

"Above all, my brothers, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. Let your "Yes" be yes, and your "No," no, or you will be condemned. Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise." James 5:12-13

To me this speaks to two things: 1) Not gossiping about others; and 2) Giving our hearts over to Jesus. When we are happy we should praise God. When we are in need we should ask him for help. It doesn't need to be any more complicated than that.

I'm so thankful for these simple gifts... The Lord delights in our joy, and is an understanding healer when we are burdened. What a loving Father.

Simple Gifts

by Joseph Brackett

'Tis the gift to be simple, 'tis the gift to be free,

'Tis the gift to come down where we ought to be,

And when we find ourselves in the place just right,

'Twill be in the valley of love and delight.

When true simplicity is gain'd,

To bow and to bend we shan't be asham'd,

To turn, turn will be our delight

'Till by turning, turning we come round right.

Simplifying is so important and easy to forget nowadays when life just feels too busy. That's a wonderful message and a cute shot. ;)
