Twiddling My Thumbs

Ho hum.

Just sitting here.

Twiddling my thumbs.

Still not sure what's up with my health issues, but rest and an ease-up on life's demands seem to get me feeling more normal again, so I'm taking a lengthy stretch from working to do just that.

But it isn't easy.

For one thing, there's only so much 'rest' a person can take. I know I need to be resting, but I'm not all that good at it. Which is kind of odd, since I've felt kind of exhausted off and on for the last few years; you'd think I would welcome some time to sit on my keester. Yet I'd rather not. Sit here and wonder what in sam heck is wrong with me? No thanks!

Grrrrrr.

Anyhow, the dizziness... The dizziness is the thing that I'm bound and determined to get over. It's making me crazy! And taking it easy seems to help with it. So, rest I shall. Please pray for me to have a more positive heart about all of this.

Sorry if I'm kind of a 'Debbie downer' today. It's just, if I stopped in here and was all, "Hi all! Life is beautiful! Look at these pretty flower and horse pictures! La la la!" it would be a pretty big farse.

Last week and the weekend, although crazy and head-spinning for me, turned out well. We sold a few things at the garage sale, and my mom was able to sell quite a bit, which was wonderful. She sold a lot of my dad's old tools and fishing gear. It's a little hard to let those things go -- the things he held in his hands -- but it's good to think that someone might be able to use them. I snagged a couple old hammers, just for sentimental value.

Once it was over, we packed up a lot of the remaining things and dropped them off at the used store, which was awesome. It feels so good to get rid of things. Sometimes I just want to give away all our things!

Other than the garage sale, we went to see Cars 2 on Sunday, which we had been anticipating for a long time. Neither of the kids have ever been to a movie in the theatre before, and we wanted Cars 2 to be their first one, since the first Cars was so neat. We were pleased with the sequel, and the kids seemed to enjoy it, but I think it was more exciting for us than for them! I guess they're exposed to so many new things all the time, being little and all, it just wasn't as momentous for them as we thought it would be. Miss Peaches even slept for about 45 minutes of it! Oh well...

Well, I've been sitting on my behind  in this spot for awhile now. I'd better go sit on it somewhere else. Oh, the glamorous life I lead...

Love,

Debbie Downer

Hey girl! For some weird reason, your blog is not updating on mine....grrrr. Could the dizziness be vertigo? I have had some dizziness off and on. Last weekend, I felt like I was listing to the left everytime I got up to walk around and even felt dizzy after I went to bed. I hope you can figure out what is going on. I loved Cars and can't wait to see Cars 2. We'll probably wait and buy it on DVD so the grandbabies can enjoy it with us. I'll keep praying for ya. Take care!

Beth - Yes, vertigo is a possibility, but the doc isn't sure. I get that same thing... Feel like I'm 'listing to the left'. Goofy stuff!!!

Have you heard of Nutrition Response Testing? You might try and see if you can find a practitioner in your area. If you need help finding one or have ANY questions, let me know. I would LOVE to help you.

Rachel - Thanks for your suggestion. I had never heard of it until you left a comment on my blog a couple months back... I checked out your site and saw how it worked for you. I have looked into it a little. Looks like I need to look into it more! Thanks!

Get feeling better soon! It isn't fun to be so dizzy. I had that happen one time and had to take Meclizine and that wiped me out.
Have they tested for Epstein Bar or Mono? or CMV?

You are in my prayers dear friend.
