Today
September 13, 2010
1. Thinking that mums may be my new favorite flower of the moment.
2. Tooling around, taking care of little ones (mine and other's). Feeling blessed to be able to be at home with them. (Especially in this moment, while they are sleeping and the crickets are chirping outside the window.)
3. Enjoying the last warm days of summer.
4. Finally starting to 'get' Facebook. That's right... I just now am getting on Facebook. For the longest time, I didn't quite 'get' why people liked it so much. And last week, when I finally hopped on the bandwagon and joined, I still didn't quite 'get' it. But after spending a little time with it, I'm starting to 'get' it. Got it?
5. Dreading the thought of putting together and posting a 'lost dog' flyer for Elsa. But if it brings her home, I'll endure one more act of heartache.
6. Still wondering what The American, with George Clooney, was all about.
7. Enjoying the new bird house we put up outside our kitchen window. My dad made it, so it's special. Technically it's a purple martin house, but for now it's open to anyone who wants to move in. I'll decide next spring if I'm going to vacate the premesis for the purple martins or not.

8. Visiting with my father-in-law, who is out to monkey around with his old tractor collection.
9. Trying out my idea of tying a ribbon around pumpkins.

10. Listening to our favorite country station, because they truly do play the hits of yesterday and today, and I love it when a little Dolly Parton or Conway Twitty are sprinkled into my day.
11. Contemplating the idea of naming our next son Conway.
Channeling Kate Gosselin: It may be a simple life, but it's our life.
What about you? What does your Monday look like?

Sigh....sounds so nice....your whole post! My Monday was good, busy, with traffic, lots of people and rambunctious boys in the store. Maybe Tuesday will be better? :) Love your calming (very homey!) posts. Thanks!
I canned 42 quarts of spaghetti sauce and 30 pints of salsa. More salsa tomorrow. Right now I'm simmering veggies to can tomato soup.
I love your ribboned punkin! Too cute.
Still praying for Elsa and your family.
I love the color of your mums. Gorgeous!! It was one of those kind of Mondays here for me. So glad it is over and I am finally back home. I got to get outside and water my yard and my "babies" = my garden plants. I feel grounded again.
