Thirty-One Days of Thankful: Wrap-Up

Please forgive my MIA status for the last week or so. I had to take some serious down time to get rid of the nasty cold we had. Mr. Blue Eyes got over it pretty quickly. After a couple weeks fighting it, the kids ended up on antibiotics and then perked up. I went on antibiotics as well, which gave me some mild hives.

Severe sore throat. Ear pain and fluid. Hives.

It wasn't the most enjoyable week.

But I'm here today to tell you...

1) I will survive!

2) I'm doing quite a bit better.

3) I wreak of garlic because I've implemented garlic capsules in my anti-sickness regimen.

4) My husband still loves me. Despite the garlic. And the hives. And the ten days of bed-head.

5) After a week where it was especially hard to be thankful, I am... still... thankful. I'm ending the year tucked in snug as a bug with my husband and children, there's a pork loin in the oven, and we have a bottle of sparkling grape juice chilling in the fridge. Life is good.

Happy New Year all!!! Blessings to you and yours for a wonder-full 2012!
