Thirty-One Days of Thankful: Thanks Be to God
December 1, 2011
This is where it all starts.
And this is where there is no end.
"In the beginning, God..."
So, it's only fitting that He is where my thirty-one days of thankfulness begins.
I give thanks... Give. A verb. It implies action. Maybe not physical action, but in this case, an action of the heart. Do I offer these thanks up to something unknown in the atmosphere? No. It is to Him that I will give the thanks for all these thirty-one days; yet I am starting off by being thankful for Him.
In general.
In particular, embarking upon this Christmas season, I am thankful for Jesus' birth; I'm thankful for thoughts of star-led nights; I'm thankful for imagining the angels singing. I'm so very thankful that all these things really happened, that God gave us a world where His miracles and gifts would be real and true.
My heart gives thanks to the heavens.
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57

I agree. Without the Holy birth of the Savior, there is no hope.
His birth and resurrection give up hope for ourselves and those we love.
Beautiful series. I look forward to each day.
