Suit Up

Oh, be still, my beating heart. I think this is the smallest suit jacket ever made.

O.k., maybe not, but it’s the first time this mother has seen her first born in a suit. What word describes the emotion of joy, pride, sadness that your baby is no longer a baby, and not being able to stop yourself from saying, “Awwwww…”?

I can’t think of it either.

Little Blue Eyes is gearing up for his first major public appearance (but shhhh… don’t tell him that) as a ring bearer, or ring ‘bear’, as he likes to call it. He knows he’s going to be in his cousin’s wedding. He knows he’s going to be a ring ‘bear’. He just doesn’t know that it will involve wearing more structured clothing than he’s ever worn in his short life or trotting down the aisle in front of 400 people.

And no one is going to tell him that until we’re in the moment. We don’t want to anger the ring ‘bear’.

Isn't how funny one article of clothing can make us look at our children so differently?
Funny ring bear- you really don't want to upset those kinds of bears!
