Still kickin', horn tootin', anniversary and a giveaway...

Whew. That title is a mouthfull, huh? But I've got a lot to address today!

First of all, I'm still alive. I just thought I should throw that out there right away, as I haven't been around these parts much the last week. I really don't know where the time went... I seemed to spend a lot of time being busy, and some more time chewing on my cud about some various things I've got going on.

It's good to just chew on your cud sometimes.

Ask any cow. They will concur.

Anyhow, today I have to toot my horn just a bit, because this is my 300th post! (Not including the photography and cooking posts, which boost me up to around 400.) It's hard to believe, less than two years ago, I sat down at my computer, decided to give this blog thing a try, and here I am 300 posts later, still rambling on.

About what, exactly, I'm still unsure. Yet I seem to easily find things to write about.

I'm so happy that you all are along for the ride.

(Side story: Speaking of horn tootin', I just had to tell you this... A few weeks ago, Mr. Blue was getting Little Blue dressed and of course he was contorting in some crazy configuration (Little Blue Eyes, not Mr. Blue Eyes) throughout the process. He let out a little toot. (Again, Little Blue. Not Mr. Blue.) Mr. Blue and I just looked at each other and grinned. "Did you toot?" I asked him. He grinned and said, "Yeah. That's just my butt horn." Hah! Hah ha. Ho ho. Hee hee hee. Chuckle. That cracks me up every time I think about it. That's just my butt horn. Out of the mouths of babes, I tell ya'.)

Okay, okay... Back to my little anniversary. In honor of such an anniversary, I decided to have a little giveaway! A 'thank you' to those of you who so faithfully follow along. Part of my cud chewing this week involved trying to decide what to give away... What to give? What to give? What. to. give?

Finally, I landed on looking for something from Williams-Sonoma. So I began perusing their site, and I don't even know how I ended up finding the thing I found, but I did. And it was this...

Farm Animal Pancake Molds!

How fitting is that? I just couldn't resist. It ties together my love of farm animals and pancakes beautifully.

I do realize, however, that maybe not everyone is into molding their pancakes into farm animal shapes, so I decided to add a second, more universally appealing option...

Williams-Sonoma Pantry All-Purpose Towels. Available in red, blue, and dijon yellow. Very functional. And I will tell you, I do love a good dish towel. Who doesn't?

The winner will have their choice of either of the above items. But how to enter? The contest is going to run all week, and will end at midnight central standard time on Saturday, November 20th. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post, or any other post I write on my Ramblings page between now and then, and your name will be entered for each comment you leave. (However, only one comment per post, please.) Next Sunday, my blog team (husband and children) and I will randomly draw a name out of a hat and choose the winner.

Capish?

Alright. I'm off to continue on my cud chewing, butt horn tooting journey. See you tomorrow!

That's a mighty fine toot of the old horn! 300 posts isn't anything to sneeze...uhm, or toot at.

I love the little feet.

You are one busy mama. It's hard to believe that you can all of it done, plus post away.

Well, I am glad I was doing some blog browsing tonight! I will leave my comment for chance to win the pancake molds. I think the "butt horn" comment is way to cute! Kids really do say it just as it is! Hope you are doing good. Happy Thanksgiving (a week early!).
