Spring Happy

I will say one good thing for enduring a long, hard, long, brutal winter...

It makes the first warm days of springtime all the more glorious.

It's not just our little family. It's everyone. You can just sense it. Even though our landscape is still a bit drab, this warmer weather (in the 50's... around here, 'warm' is a relative term) is giving everyone a little jolt of much needed happiness and optimism.

On a personal note...

...the dogs are happy.

The horses are happy.

Oh man, are the horses ever happy. No one has had to endure the brunt of the winter more than they have.

And don't judge the bad hair day he's having. If you had been outside for the last four months, you wouldn't be lookin' so good either.

The kids are happy.

And I'm happy to report that Little Blue Eyes (finally!) was able to take his bike outside and ride it outdoors for the very first time! He's been practicing in the house religiously since November, so he did really well.

Mr. Blue Eyes was happy to take the snow tires off our car.

And I was happy to admire his biceps and forearms while he did it.

I'm just sayin'...

You gotta take your happiness where you can get it.

Hope a little 'happy' is headed your way!

I hope the spring weather stays!
We woke up to snow, but I know it will be gone by the afternoon..........I hope.

The pictures of the kids are so cute. They do look like they are totally enjoying the outdoors.
Beautiful scenery you have there my friend.
