Some Things
December 30, 2010 #1: The photos in the previous post are of my sister's house, where we spent Christmas Eve. It is actually the house my great (great?) grandfather built when they migrated here from Norway, and it is the house I grew up in. Now my sister and her family live there.
#2: To answer a question from a couple weeks ago, from a reader, in regard to how I fold my socks... For Mr. Blue Eyes and I, it is just one fold of the cuff over the footy part. For the kids, I throw caution to the wind and don't even fold them. I even co-mingle them with their underoos. This goes against my anal retentive nature, but sometimes I just have to give into what's best for my time management.
#3: To answer another question from a couple weeks ago, in regard to how I made this pie crust...
I just rolled out my leftover pie dough, and cut out narrow strips to make the braid. Rather than doing one long braid, I did two shorter ones that each wrapped half-way around.
#4: The remaining series of questions from Tauna... How I get everything done in a day? HAH! I don't. The end. Am I giving out raises? The only thing that raises around here is yeasty bread dough and our electrical bill. Am I giving out photographs because I once went to Pioneer Woman's lodge? I'm pretty sure our little visit there isn't going to make me famous, so my autugraph probably wouldn't be worth much. I'm also pretty sure, if I'm ever going to be famous, with my luck it's probably going to be for sharing pictures of masculine-shaped tomatoes and dogs eating horse poop with the world.

How did I miss that pie crust? That is beautiful! I am ashamed to show you my last pie crust...the pie was delicious, but the crust was not pretty like yours. I have to work on that skill.
What? Really?
I don't get a raise?
I love this post. You truly are an amazing woman and I think you probably get a ton more done that you think you do.
I have LOVED your blog cuz I always smile, sometimes I'm sad cuz I don't have littles in the house anymore and I'm REALLY sad that my pie crust will NEVER be as stinkin' cute and creative as yours.
You have such a sense of motherhood and self.
HUGS and Happy New Year!
Holy Cow Laura! "A little blogging?!!!" This is adorable! I need some tutorials. I was up til 1 am last night trying to get 1 page added. It's fun though. I will be reading your blog a lot...though I think it makes me want to throw in the towel. jk! I'm learning as I go. thanks for sharing! Carmen
