My Girl

Miss Peaches and I are toughing out the final stages of this flu bug together.

At least, I hope we're in the final stages.

Because if I fall asleep and almost drown in my own saliva one more time, I may have a nervous break-down. It has been a rough road, people. A rough road.

But I've resolved not to complain.

Much.

Anyway, we've been riding out the storm in full-on pajama stylings, as everyone knows is the only way to deal with any sort of illness. The other day I was putting a hoodie on Miss Peaches, and as I looked at her, there was something very familiar in her 'hoodie and pajama pants' look...

She looked like...

Me.

Zip-up hoodie and stretchy pants... It's how I roll.

Putting on jeans to go to town or some sort of social function is considered 'dressing up' as far as I'm concerned.

I know I'm not the only one... My sister and her friend -- also stay-at-home moms -- call their t-shirt and stretchy pants outfit their 'uniform'.

I just don't see any reason to encourage any chafing, bunching, puckering or gathering. Stretchy pants are just so... Forgiving.

And when you're constantly bending, stooping, squatting, washing, wiping and scrubbing... Clothing that offers maximum comfort is a little luxury that you can indulge in. If it's made of cotton and is made to move with my bod, count me in.

Anyhow, when Miss Peaches strolled by the other day in her own miniature zip-up hoodie and stretchy pants...

... I knew the torch had been passed.

Even though she looks pretty perky in these pictures, it was but a moment of camera-induced charm.

The coughing quickly resumed.

I forfeited my 'Mother of the Year' nomination by continuing to take photos throughout the process...

And with one look, she told me where I could stick my torch...

She needs some lovin' from me I'm just sure of it.
Dang it she's cute and WHEN did she get so big? Wasn't she just a teeny baby yesterday?
It looks like she's about to get her drivers license!
Now quit blogging and go give her some loves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
