Lovely Day, Lovely Day, Lovely Day, Lovely Day
April 2, 2011 Name that tune.
It's a tough one.
'Tis late.
(Well... 9:45 p.m. That probably isn't late to some of you. But to me it feels late.)
'Twas a good day.
A lovely day.
So was last Saturday, which I took some photographs of (the ones I'm showing you today... I didn't take any today because my camera battery is dead) and never got around to posting, which is why I just decided to include them in this post. Because, like I said, I took them last Saturday, and never got around to posting them. And since that was a Saturday, and this is a Saturday, and I didn't actually take any pictures today, I'm using the ones from last Saturday. Because both days are Saturdays. And both were lovely.
Is this making any sense to you?
Me neither.

And now I just remembered that these pictures are actually from two Saturdays ago. But last Saturday was a lovely day as well.
I have the feeling that any logic I may have had regarding this matter has gone completely out the door.
Hey, like I said... It's late.
Here's another picture from last Saturday two Saturdays ago...
I couldn't tell you exactly why the last few Saturdays have been so lovely. I guess it's just because we've had a lot of family time, and Mr. Blue Eyes and I have even had some time together. It just feels good.

Since I'm way behind on keeping you up to date on what exactly we've been doing the last few Saturdays, here's a brief synopsis of each...
Two Saturdays Ago...
Had a quiet morning lounging around the house with the hubs and kids.
Little Blue Eyes was just getting over the stomach flu, so he wasn't quite 100%
Headed out for a little shopping adventure, and bought paint for our bedroom. (It's called 'Antique White', in case you were curious.) Stopped at an antique store on the way home. Then stopped at another antique store, where we saw my sister, brother-in-law and mama.
Dropped the kids at Mr. Blue Eyes sister's house for the evening so we could have a night 'in'... Made us steaks and veggies for supper, and watched a movie together in our p.j.'s.
That night Mr. Blue Eyes came down with the stomach flu... This was not part of the loveliness of the last few Saturdays. At least not for him.

Last Saturday...
Mr. Blue Eyes brought the kids to my sister's house for the entire day. (Definitely the longest stretch of time that they've been away from both of us.)
Spent the better part of the day at a marriage refresher seminar, hosted at our church. It was very fun and... Refreshing!
Stopped at home for a bit, then headed to a company party for his work where we had a good meal and a fun time visiting with some of his coworkers and their spouses.

Today...
Slept in until 7:45 a.m.! Woke up singing the Hallelujah Chorus.
Snuggled on the couch a little bit and ate breakfast, then the four of us got dressed and went outside for a couple hours... Tromped around the yard and made plans for the upcoming spring and summer.
My sister came over to see the kids and visit a bit.
Mr. Blue's mom came over to get a few things and visit.
Went over to my sister's house and went for a nice long walk with her and her dog. I brought Henry with as well.
Came home, got changed, and the four of us headed out for our weekly grocery run. Ate supper, got groceries, purchased some seed packets (!) and came home to unwind and have some pre-bedtime tickle time.
That last part was for the kids.
Although the night isn't over... You never know where things might lead.
On that note, I think I shall call it a day.
A lovely day.

Mr. Blue Eyes,
Slice of Life,
The Kids

I love the last picture with the sleeping kiddos! So cute.
It sounds like things have been so busy for you.
Yay for doing a marriage refresher seminar. Sounds like a great thing.
Should be a requirement maybe.
Looks like the antique store would have been a blast.
Seed packets..........I can see the garden now!
Well you've had a busy few weeks! Fun pix! And hey, that antique store looks awfully familiar. ;)
