Love is Alive

I'm walking around this morning, humming Love is Alive by the Judds, because.... Well...

Love is alive and at our breakfast table...

Love every day of the week...

Love is alive and it grows everyday...

And at night even in our sleep...

Love is alive and it's made a happy woman out of me...

Mr. Blue Eyes will look at this picture and comment about how he is getting gray hair and his hairline is receeding. But I look at this picture and see the man who gives me love everyday.

The man who snuggles in whenever we take pictures together.

The man who is not afraid of hard work to make his family an honest dollar.

The man who is slow to anger, and is getting laugh lines around his eyes because he is easy to give away smiles.

The man who prays with our children every night.

Not only do I see how love is alive, but also how it grows. How it increases beyond measure.

And perhaps changes a bit.

After all, we're not spring chickens anymore.

For example, the other night, I fell asleep on the couch. Mr. Blue Eyes, ever the sweet man that he is, came in and began to scoop me up to carry me to bed. As he lifted me up, I quietly whispered in his ear...

"This is going to hurt us both."

But we laughed as he valiantly maneuvered me down the hallway.
