It Doesn't Add Up

The thing about taking little ones outside in the winter is this...

Convincing them to go out: 1 minute

Gathering of winter gear: 3 minutes

Convincing them to hold still (because now that you've convinced them to go out, they're really excited) while you put their winter gear on: 1 minute

Putting on their winter gear: 5 minutes each

Putting on your winter gear: 2 minutes

Total: 17 minutes

Actual time spent outside: 3 minutes

I really couldn't blame them. It's not fit for man or beagle out there.

But you know what? A picture like this...

...makes it all worthwhile!

So, at lighting speed, the rosy-cheeked gang was back inside...

...and up to their usual tricks...

(Singing to herself in the mirror.)

Except for Burley, who chose to stay outside awhile longer so he could be up to his usual tricks as well...

Cherish these moments because before you know it, they won't be wearing layers, they'll just walk outside and enjoy the warmth...(haha, can you hear the sarcasm? ;)

I am still amazed at how much snow you guys have there! The weather has definitely turned here now. Autumn is on its way.

Whenever I help Claudia get ready to go outside, I remember the Cosby Show episode where Cliff got Rudy all bundled up and then she had to pee! : )

(I love the pic of your baby girl singing in the mirror!!)
