I'd Like to Share the Love

It was bothering me tonight that I have shared some of my favorite pictures with you in various posts, and now that I've used them, they may never show up again for you to enjoy. I have to admit, I get kind of attached to some pictures.

Take, for instance, this one...

This is rapidly becoming one of my new favorites. I've sort of bonded with it. I can't stand the thought that I might forget to look at it again. And again. And again, and again, and again...

I know, maybe that's weird. But it's how I feel. Some pictures are like eye candy to me in the most literal (if that's possible) sense... Sometimes, I would much rather gaze upon them than devour a piece of the best dark chocolate.

I said sometimes. Other times, the chocolate wins.

So, like I said, I was thinking about this, and it was bothering me a little. I wanted some way for you and myself to be able to look at these, my sweet little favorite photos, whenever we wanted.

I thought about ways I could make this happen...

1. Add a new page to my site? Um, no. I mean, I could, but I don't know that I want to add another page. Maintaining my current pages pretty much satisfies my blogging compulsion and at this time I'm pretty happy with my site just as it is.

2. ?

Oh, that's right, there was no #2. I only had the one idea, which I promptly shot down.

But THEN I remembered that I just set up my Flicker Photostream this week! DUH!!! Hmmmmmm... A way to share my favorite photos with all of you...

Could it be any more perfect?

Could I be any more absent minded?

At least I figured it out and have had the presence of mind to come here and let you know. This will be my way of setting aside my favorites -- the cream of this farmer gal's crop -- for you and I to look at anytime we so desire.

And I do... I do so desire. These pictures nourish my soul sometimes.

And I like the word 'Photostream'. It makes me feel tranquil and creative and forward-moving. I'm groovy with this whole idea.

So, to access my photostream (ahhh... deep breath... rippling water... 'photostream, photostream, photostream'... enya plays in the background) all you need to do is click on the link on the right sidebar of my site that says... wait for it... Photostream! I apologize that I don't have a ton of pictures uploaded there yet, just a few choice ones. I'm working on adding one or two each day.

If you need a visual fix, please check in from time to time and enjoy the world through my lens. I'm happy to share them with you.

By the way, this one is growing on me too...

The lighting on that lost shot is amazing....mine are 20 months spacing, too! I'll have to hunt up some Maine photos for you---will peek through your flickrstream later. Since I'm new to you, anything you post is new to me! ;-)

Hi Farmer Girl, so glad I found your cool blog! I love all your pets, especially the 50 lb draft Beagle. My parents had one of those, he was a character as Bealges are, and so special. You take lovely photographs. I'll be back for sure!!
