I Love Spring I Love Spring and I Don't Care Who Knows It

The day began with photography, and the day ended with photography. In between I worked outdoors, preparing flower beds and pots, with my husband and children right along side. Besides an aching back, does it really get any better than that?

Not for me.

I love Spring.

I love lazy dogs basking in sunshine.

I love the promise of new flower beds.

I even love lazy dogs laying in my new flower bed.

For now, that is.

Until the flowers are actually planted.

I love adirondack chairs that have just come out of the shed...

...and watering cans at the ready.

I love new packages of sidewalk chalk...

...and rhubarb peeking through the soil at me.

I love bird feeders that wait for some customers...

...and I even love these goofy little things that dangle off the trees, even if I don't know what they are.

(Does anybody know what they are, by the way?)

I love spring.

I just thought you should know that.

Wow, I can't believe how much Spring you have. It hardly seems fair but I think you might be hogging it all.

I think your flower beds are going to look fabulous! I too, LOVE the smell and feel of dirt.

Uh, I have no idea what that hangy down thing is on the tree, but it looks slightly disturbing.

I placed a few plants and flowers out a week or so ago... (I'm in Houston, so we get things started a little earlier down here.) ... and I feel such joy every time I water in the evening!

I haven't killed anything, yet! Woo-hoo!

I wish I could grow rhubarb. I've never looked into it but I always see wonderful desserts featuring it. Love the photos.
