He is Risen Indeed!
April 12, 2009 HAPPY EASTER!
Me: Christ is risen!
You: He is risen indeed!
All: Hallelujah!

It is good to be a part of the family of God, especially on this day.
But, I do have a confession to make... I'm not as 'at ease' as I wish I could be today.
Internally, I wish I was feeling more serene and contemplative. But I'm not.
I just saw a commercial for Downy fabric softener on the internet and the line was something like, "Does doing more make you feel less?" and I thought YES! Downy people, you hit the nail on the head.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) I am going to have to DO MORE over the next few weeks. We've got a lot to get done.
And this DOING MORE may mean I'm FEELING LESS, which means I may not always have the inspiration or time to be writing quite as much, so I apologize if my blogging is a bit thin.
Someday, when I'm not pressed to DO MORE, I'm sure I'll be back to rambling on as usual.
And until then, I'll try to keep up with things around here at least a couple times a week.

I'm going to need someone to chat across the fence with from time to time.
What is this DOING MORE that I speak of?
Stop in tomorrow for an update.

That top shot is quite inspiring....definitely worth printing and keeping in a visible spot to remember the message behind it.
So true!! I think the more we are doing and the busier we are, we do feel like LESS. I think that is why God wants us to BE STILL and KNOW that HE is GOD. I am still learning to do this with His help. Not to be hurried and have things always in their place. I think God wants things simple. Love Him and Love others. Easter Blessings to you and your lovely family!
Hope you are able to do the "needful" things and let everything else go by the wayside. Remember not to be caught up in the thick of thin things.
I "heart" your blog!
Love the photos, pretty awesome and inspiring. Thanks for that.
Heather - I do have it printed, actually, and it is on our wall as part of a collage of pictures that I put together based on Philippians 4:49 to help me keep my mind on things that are good and lovely and pure. A few years ago on the day that I took it, Mr. Blue Eyes and I were on a spur-of-the-moment drive through the mountains and it always reminds me of that day together.
Teri - Thank you for the reminder on keeping things simple... I am going to need to focus on that more than ever with the changes that we are going to go through when we move.
Tauna - Great advice... Thank you. Again, something I'm going to need to remind myself of in the coming months.
See? THIS is why I need to 'chat across the fence' with you all! ;)
