Happy Father's Day

For Father's Day, I just couldn't think of anything any father might like better than if someone -- anyone -- in his life cooked him up a steak like this.

So I did. For the father of my children. And he concurred. 'Twas awesome.

Why did I cook it for him before Father's Day, you ask?

Because I got a little confused and thought Father's Day was last Sunday.

I did.

Had the kids come out and present him with his gift and 'Father of the Year' certificate and everything.

He kindly said 'thank you', then informed me that it wasn't actually Father's Day.

But... These t-bones were already thawing in the fridge. So... We had our Father's Day meal early.

And this is my solemn vow to you: I will have the recipe posted by the end of the day today. It is my Father's Day gift to you all. I'm sorry it won't be up in time for you to actually make it for Father's Day, but you know what?

I've been ahead of schedule way more than I'd like to be lately.

It must stop.

It's unnatural, for the mother of two small children, one large puppy and one even larger garden to be ahead of schedule on anything.

And you can't fight nature.

And as nature intended, I will have the recipe posted by sundown, slightly behind schedule, as nature intended.

I have to commend you for being organized and ahead of schedule for Father's Day! :-) The steak sounds so delicious! Bruce is the steak griller in our family now...I think my skills are rusty, but he loves to try new recipes, so we will have to give it a whirl!
