Guess Where I'm Goin'... (IT'S BIG!)

I had a birthday for a somewhat significant age amount (it ended in a zero... I can't say more than that... that would make it too real... I try not to dwell on it much) not too long ago. When I woke up the very next morning with arthritis in my middle finger, I really felt that from here on out things were bound to take a downward spiral.
I mean, I couldn't bend my finger. If I had to go through the rest of my life unwillingly flipping people the bird, how good were things going to be?
The next morning I awoke and my fist-making capabilities were restored. Things were lookin' up.
Frankly, I was pretty much satisfied at that point and wasn't looking for any special favors from God.
But then He decided to do me one anyway. Guess where I get to go. Seriously, just guess. You'll never believe it.
I'll give y'all a hint...
Anything look familiar? It's a land far (but not too far) away. A land where I won't be in Kansas anymore... But I'll be close.

The place I'm goin' is considerably less peaked than here, I'll tell you that. And warmer. I'm not sure how I'll handle that. These legs haven't seen the sunshine in many moons.
Thankfully the place I'm goin' is more of a 'boots & jeans' kind of establishment than a 'bikini & daisy dukes' setting.
Yes, let's all thank the Lord for that.

Cool! Is it for the cooking thing with Smitten Kitchen? Or something like that? I remember I saw a contest over there. Do you live within driving distance? Do you like, meet up in the big city with Ree for Starbuck's and shop for shoes, hee hee? :) Have fun and I'm sure we'll hear and SEE (via your great photos) all about it!
Yes, it's for Smitten Kitchen Day. No, Ree and I don't do Starbucks and shoe shopping. Yes, it's within driving distance, but it is a pretty long drive. But it's worth it! Will put up another post later today with the details!

I know what you mean about Colorado- My husband is from there, and that is where we met and were married. Everything there is beautiful. I miss it, and hope to go back.
