Grandma + Rory

So, I've mentioned, this week, that we went to an old fashioned church service last Sunday.

Right?

I've mentioned this?

Yep.

So, we were somewhat ill-prepared for the event, fashionably speaking. That morning as we were getting ready, I grabbed a dress that was hanging in my closet that reminded me of something my Grandma would've worn. Then I put my hair in a bun. Then, as I was making my way out the door, I thought it best to grab a jacket or a sweater or something, and remembered that I actually had one of Grandma's sweaters hanging in my closet. Perfect!

I think I kind of confused 'old fashioned' with 'elderly'.

Oh well. No matter.

Mr. Blue Eyes decided to slip on a pair of bibs for his old fashioned garb. He quickly realized that he felt like Rory from the country music duo, Joey + Rory.

I committed myself to calling him 'Almonzo' for the entirety of his bib-wearing escapade. It just felt right.

He did not call me 'Grandma', however. That would've just not felt right.

Since we happened to have a shovel in our trunk for some raspberry plant harvesting later that day, it only seemed appropriate that we take the above picture. It was just too easy.

Coming up with word bubbles to go along with the photo is also too easy...

Okay, just one more...

I'm done now.

I loved that sweater! And if I remember correctly, I borrowed it often... My favorite bubble pic would have to be the last one... and I also see alot of profit potential with an "I'd Rather Be Canning" t-shirt line.
Grandma + Rory TLF!!!
