Goin' on a Date Tonight
September 30, 2011
Whosawhatsthis?
It's the most recent picture I have of my husband, at a football game, running at me as if he was going to take me down for a tackle, then whizzing off to the side at the last minute. It's a little game he likes to play. I thought it was the best picture to describe our relationship. I don't know why. I guess it's because life seems like a whirlwind sometimes.
Are ya' buying that one?
Am I reaching?
Was I just reaching for a meaningful metaphor, when all it really is is an excuse for not having a picture of the two of us together?
Bottom line: We need more pictures of the two of us together. I'm not sure how, exactly, we'll accomplish this... Maybe teach the kiddos to run the camera? They probably could.
But truth be told, I like this picture. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to look at, but I get a kick out of my husband when he tries to pretend like he's being rough with me, so there you have it.
We're going on a date tonight!
Kind of.
Sort of.
An 'us' kind of date. We were going to go to a movie, but then we realized there really aren't any movies we want to pay mucho dinero to see, so instead our date is going to consist of dinner, taking a walk at the park, and grocery shopping.
Grocery shopping... Romantic, no?
Actually, it kinda is, because it ensures that we'll be able to spend more of the weekend here at home, toodling around together, working on projects, and maybe... hopefully... even lounging around just a little bit, which to me... sounds... lovely.
Marriage,
Mr. Blue Eyes
