Garagesaleing, Mother's Day, and a question...

I know some of you out there don't know me or my family personally, but can I ask you a little favor? Say a little prayer for my mom, will you?

A little over a month ago, she became very sore and achey all over, and after a few days, she went to the doctor and they discovered it was due to her cholesterol medication. She stopped taking the medication, which helped, but somewhere during all of this she tripped over her little dog, and hurt her knee pretty badly. They had been trying physical therapy for the last few weeks, but with no improvement, and some pretty serious pain that hasn't let up, they decided to do an MRI, and found that she has a fracture, a tear, and a cyst in her knee. She sees an orthopoedic specialist tomorrow. This has been a long road for her to endure, with no improvement, so she needs some prayers and encouragement!

The good news is, she was visited by five of her ten kids yesterday, along with some of our respective broods, so she's not lacking on love.

The bad news is, Saturday was city-wide garage sales in the surrounding three towns, and she was feeling too down and out to go to any of them. Being an avid garagesaler, this was a little discouraging.

Thank goodness I was able to get out there and buy enough stuff for the both of us.

I have to ask you, because I'm curious... Do you like garagesaleing?

Do you use the term as an actual verb, as I do?

Because it is.

A verb.

Mirriam Webster just doesn't know it yet.

I truly am interested to know what you think about it, because some people, like myself, my mom, my mother-in-law, and one of my sisters, just love it to pieces, while other people I know couldn't care less about it. Rummaging through someone else's used stuff is at the bottom of their totem pole.

So what about you?

p.s. The above picture is of my mom, and my nephew, the shepherd. Just thought you should know. Over and out.

Sorry to hear your mom is struggling with health issues. Praying for the best for her and...that you would be healed of that garagesaleing bug!

That is a beautiful picture of your mom!
Awesome that she was visited by her family.
She will be in my prayers.

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.

Garage saling? My dear sweet friend......I would rather have a root canal.
No kidding. I have spent this last year getting rid of, dejunking and cleaning out.
I don't "see" the beauty that other people see in things. I have no creativity.

Can we still be friends?
Pretty please?

Praying for your mum - she seriously deserves a medal after raising that many kids!
