Easy on the eyes, and the ears...
February 19, 2010
Good mornin', all.
Or, good afternoon/evening/middle of the night, if that's when you happen to be stopping in. Whatever time of day it is for you, I hope it's good.
It does happen to be morning for me, at the moment, and I'm up to the usual stay-at-home-mom kinds of stuff... Freshening up bottoms, applying large quantities of Cheerios, and refreshing the coffee cup. And I'm also taking care of the kids.
Guess what!
'Photo of the Week!' starts this Sunday!!!
If you don't know what I'm talking about, please read this post where I exploded onto the scene with the idea (I had a lot of coffee that morning), or if you want a more comprehensive, thought-out description, click here. This link is probably the better way to go.
The photo above is going to be my photo of the week. I know, I'm kind of ruining the suspense (as if there were any) by sharing it with you now. However, on Sunday I will share why I chose this photo and also how I edited it in Photoshop.
Remember, 'Photo of the Week!' will be hosted over on my photography page, so you'll need to go there to check it out. You can add your photo to the group anytime after my post is up (i.e. throughout the week), so there's no need to rush to get it done on Sunday, but the sooner you do, the more likely that others will stop in to see it.
And in case you need a little inspiration to get you into an artsy, fartsy, light-seeking photog mode, I'm going to share with you my current personal play list that I have downloaded from iTunes. Unfortunately, I can't just give you the music... You have to go download it yourself. (Otherwise iTunes might come after me with a poisoned apple.)
Anyhow, I just thought I would share. Sometimes finding a nice collection of songs can be time-consuming, and frustrating if the songs you download (and pay for) don't turn out to be what you were hoping for. I'm very happy with these. They're kind of a bluegrass/celtic jig mix with some sweet instrumentals mixed in. Enjoy!

I LOVE THE CORRS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so twins of different mothers........and I'm a lot older........in fact.........pretty sure old enough to be your mother!
OK the photography thing???? Now I'm freaking out cause I wanted to do it but I don't photoshop. I hardly take my camera off auto mode. I'm taking a college class trying to learn my camera well enough so I can get it off auto mode.
If I have to be a photoshopper then I'm 'askeerd. Besides, I don't have photoshop. Can beginners be a part of this thang?
Yes, of course! Sorry, I should have been more clear about that. The only reason I am specifying 'Photoshop' is because that is the editing program that I use, so obviously that is what I can write about and share. However, I will be sure to include some information on camera settings too. I really do want it to be more geared toward beginners, so don't be 'askeerd!!!
what a fabulous photo!
