Come On, Get Happy

Oh goodness.

He always makes me laugh.

(This is Drifter, by the way, a.k.a. 'The Cowgirl's Stairmaster'. He's our wild child. Our wild child that weighs 1200 lbs. We don't let him sit on our laps.)

As he and I related to one another the other day, how we were both wallowing in the mud -- me figuratively and he literally -- he came down with a case of the yawns...

Oh, dear Liza. I don't care who ya' are... That's funny.

His yawning spell was one of the many little tidbits that contributed to getting me out of my miserable funk. Other tidbits included...

a) Sunshine! The sun was out yesterday and it was glorious. Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy.

2) Sloooowly but surely Miss Peaches and I are coming out of the fog of this stinkin' cold. I can breath again. Air in my lungs makes me happy.

iii.) I had my final daycare licensing home visit yesterday and it went well... Attaining my license is imminent. I am so relieved!

D) Because I had the licensing home visit yesterday, my house is in immaculate (read: not covered in toys and dirty dishes and laundry piles) condition. This puts me in good shape for Miss Peaches upcoming dedication this weekend. This also means I get to do a few indulgent things today, like blog and look at the Gurney's website to plot out my gardening plan of attack for this year. Oh, happy day...

Lastly) My blogger friend Tauna passed an award on to me the other day!

Let me just tell you, I kind of needed this. After being sick and feeling like my head had been a big balloon for the past couple weeks, and having a really dreary week weather-wise too, I was in both an atmospheric and emotional fog. Who was I? What was I doing here? Why did I write? Where had all the flowers gone?

So, thank you Tauna. It was encouragement during a time when I was feeling pretty discouraged, and it brightened my day.

And my mood.

And our household.

So in effect you're responsible for the well-being of us all. You rock!

The award isn't just an award in-and-of-itself... It requires that whoever receive it pass on the love. I have to link back to the person who gave it to me, then share 7 things about myself. Then I have to pass it on to 7 others.

I'm getting a little long-winded already, and I need to give this a little thought anyway, so I'll have my 7-things and 7-bloggers post up bright and early tomorrow morning. Check back!

In the meantime, I'll just leave you with this...

It's my gift to all of humanity.

I can't believe I ever questioned myself.

I'm so glad that you have turned the corner and are feeling better. I know how you feel about having nothing to say when you are battling illness - I mean, how many times can I write about vertigo?? Sheeesh.

The horse pics are priceless!!!

Cate [[[hugs]]] - 'cos you need one :-)

Oh, those pictures are too funny. Glad to hear your week's looking up and that you're feeling better. My sweet girl seems to be on the mend too. I'll be so glad to get my windows open and air all these germs out of my house!
