An Old Fashioned Sunday

The community gathered this Sunday for an old fashioned church service. The attendance enjoyed a spiritually uplifting worship service, to include traditional hymns and liturgy.

Special music included...

... a rousing rendition of 'All Hail the Power of Jesus Name' by the choir,

a charming tune by the children's bell choir,

and a special song by the preacher on his saw with lovely piano accompaniment.

Men and women sat on seperate sides of the church.

Some were not happy about this.

The food following the service, however, quickly lifted their spirits...

Daisy Mae Lubbock presented several trays of her delectable desserts.

Miss Peaches McGee devoured them heartily.

There were horse drawn carriage rides...

... and mule drawn wagon rides. A highlight of the day, to be sure.

But perhaps the most noteable and interesting part of the whole affair may quite easily have been...

... the fashion.

More on that later.

I think that sounds like an absolutely fabulous Sabbath!
I love the hats!
It sounds like it is a real close-knit congregation.

LOVE IT! Except, there wasn't a picture of the Farmer Gal! What's with that???

What an absolutely charming morning. So glad you did the photos in a sepia tone too - they let me be right in the moment. Just lovely! : )

Haha, I was just going to email you to say, I missed seeing you on Sunday. Now I see you were attending, what looks like, such a FUN idea of a church service!! We should talk to the pastor about doing something like that! ;) A themed church service. Although, I would be up for something easy like, Pajama Day or something like that.
