A Perfect Day

Yesterday.

Woke up (even slept in a little) with the husband and kids. Drank coffee. Had a little fun with the pets.

Hit the road and met up with my mom at the apple orchard.

(Hi, husband. I like your whiskers.)

Wandered around.

Had faces painted.

Rode a pony.

And partook in all manner of fun orchard activities.

Went home.

Napped (some of us).

Worked outside (some of us).

Picked a bunch of pumpkins.

Delivered them to family.

Had some delicious, sister-made pizza hot dish and garlic bread.

Headed home.

Unwound while listening to husband telling children a homespun story about the mountains, draft horses and Christmas.

Plugged in the heating pad because back was sore from picking pumpkins, and fell asleep upon it.

A perfect ending to a perfect autumn day.

Just reading this post and looking at your LOVELY pictures made me love Fall. I don't normally love Fall.
Fall is just before winter and WINTER is forever here.
But....
You made me love Fall.

Thank you!

Awww, Tauna. I know. Winter is sooo long. And I can relate to your western winters that drag on and on. But we'll get through it together!
