A Little Off-Center
March 28, 2011
As the snow is beginning to melt, I noticed this morning that Mr. Blue Eyes had been plowing out our driveway a little off-center over the winter months. He's not to blame... There really is no way to be precisely sure where the boundaries are underneath the snow.
And snow.
And more snow.
Anyhow, as I sat looking out at the muddy mess, the driveway tracks now gouging slightly into our lawn, I thought, "Yeah, I can relate to that driveway."
A little off-center.
A little bit of a muddy mess.
Nothing that some sunshine won't cure.
It's a combination of things... Very, very busy weekend... Marriage seminar, company party, leading music for worship service at church, and then a family get together. All good things, but whew! What a whirlwind! Also, today, a slight cold that's making me sleeeepy. And, kids with colds that have disturbed our sleep the last couple of nights. It's catching up with me today.
So, you see? Just a little off-center.
I'm so thankful that today is a normal day at home with the kiddos, and this week is much less demanding of our time than the last. We need it, big time. Tonight my only goal is to lounge around, read a magazine or two, and have an early bed time.
Wait. Did I just jinx myself? Should I have not said that? Now I have this nagging feeling that some random household catastrophe is about to unfold.
I guess we'll all just have to wait and see. Tune in to tomorrow to find out!

I am still gobsmacked that you are snowed in for so long! It also amazes me how life goes on for you even with all this snow. Are the roads all cleared for you, or are you able to make your own way to church through it all?
Forgive my ignorance, but this type of weather is totally foreign to me!
