A Colorful Past

I love painting.
But I hate painting.
I love transforming a room and I love color. I even love the actual process of painting.
What I don’t love is when the color doesn’t turn out the way you thought it would (even after weeks of staring at the color sample before making the decision) or having SO MANY things to paint that it just becomes overwhelming and tedious.
We’re in the overwhelming and tedious stage right now, Mr. Blue Eyes and I. It’s probably more overwhelming for me because I’m am the color selector while he is more of the ‘let’s just get this job done’ work horse, although he does have some opinions about what he does and doesn’t like.
The tally for the past two weeks: 1 exterior door (inside and outside), two closets, two bedrooms, one bathroom, one hallway and one kitchen.
Not too shabby. I feel like we’ve made it over the painting hump. We still have some projects left, like four closets (b.o.r.i.n.g.) and a bedroom, but we’re over halfway there, and the house is starting to feel freshened up and more like our own, so I’m encouraged to charge forward.
There is, however, the matter of our bedroom, which is one of the ones we’ve painted, in which the soft, warm yellow / soft orange color has taken on more of a pea soup green color in certain (most) light. I may have to repaint. I just can’t be surrounded by pea soup.
But shhhhh... Don’t tell Mr. Blue Eyes. He thinks we’re almost done.

Uhm........I don't think I would do OK with pea soup either. You are ambitious!
I'm repainting the living room as we speak. tedious yes, but Food Network & GAC are helpin' me make it through - the fact that I rummaged through the garbage like an alley cat to eventually find out that I indeed, did buy Heirloom Gray instead of Aged Fossil is not helping my progress, but oh well... there is always trim to paint...
