5 Things + 5 Things = Every Day

Do you ever feel like your life is kind of like that movie, Groundhog's Day?

There are lots of day that I find myself doing the same things or saying the same things as I did the day before. And the day before that. And the day before that. And...

You get the picture.

So I thought I would share... 5 things I find myself DOING every day, and 5 things I find myself SAYING every day...

DOING:

1. Drinking two cups of coffee with a scoop of turbinado sugar and a splash (more like cannonball) of half-and-half. On good days I go with the half-caf. On bad days I hit the 'strong' button on the brew options. O.k., you caught me... I hit the 'strong' button every time. I just think it's more efficient coffee ground usage.

2. Singing the theme song to Thomas the Tank Engine. I fall deeper and deeper in love with PBS on a daily basis.

3. Washing something, folding something, wiping something and organizing something. The 'something' changes from day to day. The washing, folding, wiping and organizing do not.

4. Checking email and my website to see if any of you fine people had anything to say, and of course to share what I have to say.

5. Picking the edges of my fingernails. (Hey. I never said this list was going to be glamorous. Or interesting.)

SAYING:

1. "I love you." To Mr. Blue Eyes, to my babies.

2. "Put your pants back on." To Little Blue Eyes... He's three. If you have or know a three-year-old, you understand.

3. "Hey toots," to Miss Peaches. I say it to her. Now she says it to me. She's 19 months old... Hearing her call me 'toots' is always a kick.

4. "Time out." I don't think a day goes by when I don't have to say this. But that's o.k. It works. Mr. Blue Eyes and I always say it's like hitting the kids' 'reset' button.

5. The Lord's Prayer with our children, before they go to bed each night.

What about you? Anything you find yourself doing or saying day after day? After day? After day?

You need to record her saying "toots" and then post it!

Ya, motherhood is kinda like that.........Groundhog Day.
Yup!
However, it's kinda awesome. You do get to say "I love you" the Lords Prayer and do those things for the family. It kinda makes all things right with the world.

Totally agree. I say the same things so many times every day that I feel like I'm hitting the reset button!
