She's Nothing if Not Flexible

Hee, hee, hee! These pictures crack me up. They tickle my giggle bone. They make me smile.

Miss Peaches is starting to sit up on her own, and is doing really quite well at it, although we still make sure to surround her with pillows because she still topples over from time to time. She loves to sit and play with her toys, inspecting them and putting them in her mouth, then inspecting them some more.

And I love to watch her doing this.

I also love to watch her do this...

It starts like this:

Sitting, smiling, happy. Look how good she's getting at it! I'm a proud mama. She can sit like this for quite awhile, but every once in awhile, this happens:

Hee, hee... Is that a cute little belly or what?

"Um, hello? I think I'm stuck like this. Can you help me?"

"Oh, wait. This kind of feels good. Oh yeah, this is a good stretch..."

"Yeah, it's alllll good."

"I wonder if I can sit up by myself... Grrrr. Humph. Grunt. Grunt."

"Whew. Nope. I'm stuck like this. Can you help me?"

"Thanks. Let's do this all again sometime soon."

Anytime, baby girl. Anything for you.

I just love it that she's at the age that I can talk for her, pretend I know what she's thinking. I savor it, I indulge in it now, because I know that someday all too soon she's going to tell me what she thinks all on her own.
